Communication is prevalent throughout society, whether it is intentional or not. While communication is noted throughout, an aspect that sometimes is not acknowledged is the ethics that goes along with it (as urban dictionary describes as "Morality with loopholes").
A term that is noted in ethics is the "Multiplicity of Goods" (good and bad aspects coming together). What is good to one person, another may have a different opinion on the subject/situation. An example of this would be my friend and I's opinion on education. She believes going to college is a waste of time and money, while I believe it is valuable for one's future. When she dropped out of college it was difficult not to judge/voice my negative opinion on the subject. I have in the past have had difficulty filtering my opinions to others, which in return can come across as harsh or rude. In the last year I have been using the "Multiplicity of Goods", choosing how to handle a situation in the best light possible while being honest. So when it came to my friend dropping out, I expressed my worry about not continuing education but also accepting her decision.
