Dialogic Ethics
Chapter five talks about dialogic ethics. Dialogic ethics is essentially the learning of multiple goods when talking to the Other. To be an ethical communicator in dialogic ethics means to go into conversation with an open mind to other goods than your own. A friendly and open environment is created when an attempt to see a different good is made. A new good is formed between the participants of the dialogue. This good can either be a new understanding of a different good, or it could also be a change in your own good and views. The newly formed good is only between the participants in dialogue, but can carry permanent effects on the goods of the participants.
